My love of photography started when I was just nine years old. My dad would take me out on Saturday mornings to photograph old New England towns. I have loved that even at a young age, cameras have been a tool used to bring people together. From there, I was the annoying girl in high school who brought my point and shoot camera with me everywhere (including honors Chemistry. Sorry, Mrs. Brown)! My passion for photography fully exploded, though, when my daughter was born. I just wanted to remember everything and soak up every single minute of her. I've never regretted taking too many pictures and I feel compelled to help families photograph the season of life that they're currently in.
I believe that images are itching to be printed, placed in beautiful frames and hung on walls in your home. Photos are part of the legacy you leave behind for those that you love. Regardless of the season that you're in, and whether your babies are big, small, or furry, this time in your life deserves to be captured by something other than your iPhone.
IT’S NICE TO MEET YOU!
These are a few of
Ice cream. Ok, anything sweet really. I have the biggest sweet tooth ever! Both my weakness and strength is humor. I love laughing and people/things who make me laugh. I love reading, but also appreciate a good reality show. I love Jesus and rely on Him (and coffee!) to get me through the highs and lows of life. Family is absolutely everything to me and I LIVE for movie nights and snuggles with my husband and kids.
get to know me
It all began when I first laid eyes on her. My beautiful baby girl made me a mama and my life was forever changed. God blessed me far beyond measure when He allowed me to experience parenthood and it was game over from the second I saw those big, blueberry eyes staring into mine. My heart was bursting with a love I had never known, my appreciation for my husband grew tenfold, and I was about to embark on THE greatest journey of my life.
Every single day I find myself utterly exhausted, but so incredibly grateful that my children are actually mine. My babies remind me daily that love is indescribable and intangible, but can be felt in a big hug, a sticky kiss, and always felt when looking back at pictures. My kids might not always remember the gifts they've gotten, or all of the stories my husband or I have told, but they will certainly never forget the moments where time stood still and the memories we created in front of the camera. Photos remind us all of the stories our lives tell.
my "why"
the heart behind what I do
Being raised in a Christian family instilled core values in me from a young age. Selflessness, sacrifice, a life of servitude are just some of the lessons learned to make the world a better place and show the love of Jesus to others. These principles were magnified when my parents became missionaries in Vietnam and their example lit a fire inside of me to want to help others and always look for ways to give back.
I've been to Vietnam myself twice now and seeing the needs (especially of orphaned children) of a third world country firsthand weighs heavy on my heart. I am committed to giving back and a percentage of every shoot goes directly to helping these precious lives.
